Howard H. Halsey, Jr. passed away on February 6, 2026, at the VA Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and service. Born on October 15, 1958, in West Chester, Howard was a dedicated body mechanic by profession, a role that allowed him to combine his skills with a deep passion for helping others.
In addition to his technical expertise, Howard proudly served as a Sergeant in the Army, displaying unwavering commitment to his country. His military service not only shaped his character but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie and resilience that resonated throughout his life.
Howard is survived by his loving family, including his stepdaughters Stephanie and her husband Craig, Christina, and Anne, as well as his stepson Thomas. He was a cherished grandfather to Giannie, Sabine, Scarlett, Brendan, Lincoln, and Alita. Howard took great joy in his grandchildren, nurturing each relationship with love and guidance.
He is also remembered fondly by his two sisters, Judy and Joe Anne who shared countless memories and experiences with him. Howard’s devoted canine companions, Max and Luna, were constant sources of joy and loyalty in his life.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, his spirit and kindness leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends. Howard H. Halsey, Jr. was a remarkable individual whose contributions and love for those around him will be cherished forever.
