Daryl V. Jones

Daryl Vernau Jones, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, devoted educator, and cherished friend, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 74. She dedicated over 35 years to the Rockwood Area School District in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, as a public school teacher. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and was a true lover of the arts. She was a proud member of the Somerset County Garden Club and recently assembled quilts for Vietnam veterans through Quilts of Valor. Daryl is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; her son, Joshua (Bridget); her daughter, Gwynenn (Anthony); her four grandchildren; her brother, Jack (Kathy); her sister, Dawn (Michael); and her nieces and nephews. No services will be held in keeping with her wishes.
